JULIA HAAG – MASTER STUDENT

What brought me here?
I’ve always been interested in chemistry since school, but my passion for it really grew during my studies at university. I’m especially drawn to organic chemistry, particularly when it comes to catalysis, so I’m happy to explore this interest further through an internship at the Schnitzerlab.
What makes me happy?
Spending time with friends and family makes me really happy. Whether it’s going out for a drink, taking a trip, or just staying at home with my roommates watching our favourite shows, I enjoy it all. When I have the time, I love drawing and reading. Doing sports, especially dancing, is another thing that always lifts my mood.
What is my current smartphone background? Why?
My smartphone background changes quite frequently because I really enjoy having a bit of variety. Sometimes it’s travel photos or pictures of beautiful places from my gallery, but most often it’s nice images I find online. Right now, it’s water lilies on a pond because I like the picture and the calm feeling it gives me every time I open my phone.
