What brought me here?

Back in school, chemistry fascinated me because it seemed to offer clear answers to complex questions. At university, I soon realized that the subject involves a great deal of uncertainty and phenomena not yet fully understood. Rather than discouraging me, this complexity sparked my ambition to understand, especially organic chemistry, more deeply. I will be conducting a research internship here to further improve my knowledge in this area, investigating mechanochemical approaches to catalysis.

What makes me happy?

Accomplishment. There is no better feeling than achieving goals I have set for myself in academic, physical, or personal matters. The constant striving for greatness is what brings me true happiness.

What is my current smartphone background? Why?

A photo I took this spring while riding my motorcycle through the Black Forest, when I stopped to capture the moment when the evening sun cast beams of light through the tall pine trees, creating long shadows and illuminating the forest floor. Riding allows me to disconnect from everyday life, because it demands complete focus on the road and the moment.
