HANNA WELLER – MASTER STUDENT

What brought me here?

During my high school years, I developed a keen interest in chemistry, which ultimately motivated me to pursue a degree in chemistry at the University of Freiburg. As I advanced in my studies, I became increasingly fascinated by the field of organic chemistry. This eventually led me to the Schnitzer group, where I am now focused on investigating direct amidation reactions using boronic acid catalysts.

What makes me happy?

Reading a good book - the longer, the better. Going bouldering. Enjoying good food with my friends. Being outside in nature, especially going scuba diving.

What is my current smartphone background? Why?

My background picture shows the stunning skyline of Singapore at night. It reminds me of the many incredible experiences and beautiful moments I had during my time living there.
